Have you always wanted to brew your own beer, under the supervision of a real brewery? Do you want to let hundreds of people taste your home brewed beer? Then register as a participant of the Fermentation Festival! Whether you are an advanced brewer or have never brewed before in your life, everyone can join!
With your team you will brew your own beer under the supervision of Delft City Brewery “De Koperen Kat”. You will receive the needed brewing materials and a starter pack of ingredients, from where you can go creative and create your own recipe with your unique ingredients. De Koperen Kat will give a workshop to all participating teams, after which they will check your team’s recipe to make sure that your beer will be a success! Then you will start brewing, check it a few times, bottle it and June 12th is the moment to shine: you will have the opportunity to present your beer to students and employees of the entire TU Delft during the Fermentation Festival at the newly renovated building of X! During the festival there will be music, food and of course all the delicious beers produced by you. The winning beer will be produced on large scale by the Koperen Kat and will actually be sold on the facilities of X and several bars on campus.
Teams consist of 4 to 6 members and the registration fee is 20 euros per team. The process from creating the recipe to presenting it on the fermentation festival will be from February until June 12th. It takes on average just one hour per week of your time. Registration opens January 10th 2019 via this registration form. Be sure to sign up before February 3rd!
