Speedmeeting with Companies
Dear Master students and last year Bachelor students,
On the 12th of November S.A. LIFE will organise the annual career event ‘Speedmeeting with companies’ at TNW- Zuid (Applied Sciences) in Delft. During this event, representatives of the companies in the broad field of the Life Sciences will give a short pitch about their company. After the pitch, you will get the unique opportunity to engage in a conversation with companies’ representative in three separate rounds. After the three rounds there will be networking drinks at bar ‘Het Lab’. Walk-in is from 17:30 and the presentations will start at 18:00, the evening will close around 21:00. Sign up via this link.
There are three rounds and five companies, so you can choose between the following companies which will join this event.
At Panorama Laboratories, we use our knowledge of the bioscience laboratory environment, automation hardware and software engineering to automate documentation generation. By using smart sensor networks, we generate relevant laboratory data without changing any existing workflows. Our goal is to prevent scientists from spending time on documentation, so they can instead focus their time on what scientists are trained to do. Conduct science.
Polariks is a software company based in Den Haag that uses hyperspectral imaging and deep learning for the detection of plant growing conditions, diseases and fruit quality in open field row crops with a focus on viticulture (Growing of wine plants). We put hyperspectral sensors on tractors and allow farmers to collect individual plant information to support them in their daily decision making, to help them reduce chemicals and produce more sustainable, and help them optimize harvest quality. We are looking for people with skills and interest in image analysis/ processing, computer vision, machine learning/ deep learning and data science.
Applikon Biotechnology is a world leader in developing and supplying advanced bioreactor systems from laboratory, to pilot-, to production scale. ICLON (only for Dutch speakers)
Interfacultair centrum voor lerarenopleiding, onderwijsontwikkeling en nascholing van de Universiteit Leiden. Leiden University Graduate School of Teaching (ICLON) connects theory and practice of teaching through the application of academic knowledge to issues of classroom practice. Also, issues of practice form the starting point for research in, and development of, secondary and higher education. ICLON is an interfaculty unit within Leiden University which provides undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education, in-service teacher training and services pertaining to educational design and innovation, staff development and organizational development for higher education.
